Faded Mods is more than a download site. It is being built as an open, community-driven platform for Project Zomboid modders, server owners, and players who want a clean place to share, discover, and install mods outside of the Steam Workshop system.

Open Mod Publishing Platform
Faded Mods welcomes modders who are looking for an open-source, unrestricted platform to publish and distribute their Project Zomboid mods.
Modders may submit their work for review, listing, and possible inclusion on the Faded Mods website and future Faded Mod Installer.
Submitted mods will be reviewed before being added to the website or installer to help confirm:
- The mod is safe to distribute
- The mod includes proper credits
- The mod has clear permission or ownership status
- The mod does not include stolen or unauthorized content
- The mod has a proper Project Zomboid mod folder structure
- The mod can be installed through direct download
Our goal is to give modders a fair, transparent, and accessible publishing option while protecting creators, players, and server owners.
Submit Your Mod
To submit a mod for review, join the Faded Mods Discord and provide:
- Mod name
- Mod description
- Project Zomboid build/version
- Singleplayer or multiplayer support
- Download file or repository link
- Credits and permissions
- Known dependencies
- Screenshots if available
- Any install notes or known issues
After review, approved mods may be added to the Faded Mods website, listed on the Mods page, included in the Downloads page, and considered for future installer support.
