What A World - Solar Shadows
Requires Java LoaderOptional companion to What A World. Continuous sunlight, projected world shadows, mesh shadows for characters and vehicles, ambient bird silhouettes and an adaptive world void. Derived from ShadowZ and rebuilt on Faded's Java Loader - it does not use or need ZombieBuddy. Kept as a separate mod for the same reason as Tree Visibility: it replaces the screen shader, which the renderer compiles at load and cannot be switched per quality tier - if you want it, enable it; if you do not, leave it off. Needs Faded's Java Loader 0.3.0 or later; FJL only loads its Java when this mod is enabled, and without FJL nothing here runs. SINGLE PLAYER is the tested target: the original author did not fully test multiplayer or split screen, so treat it as experimental on a server. While solar lighting is on the engine's visibility polygon is hidden, as the original did; tick Keep visibility polygon in the options to keep it. Character mesh shadows let every zombie in a horde keep its full model, which is expensive; switching mesh shadows off, or What A World's Potato tier, turns that off too. Known issues carried across: no water shading yet, and blown highlights in some daylit rooms. Conflicts with any other mod that replaces the screen shader. Does not require the main mod. When What A World IS present, its Boosted / Standard / Potato tier caps the shadow counts and distances and never raises a value you set lower, and its own zombie render cap, if you enabled it, takes priority.
