The Big Tree Fix
Build 42.20's jumbo trees, tamed. The Big Tree Fix stops huge L, XL and XXL canopies from hiding rooms, furniture, zombies and the road ahead, and trims oversized trees near roads and buildings while dense forests keep their giants.
Indoors
Nearby jumbo trees stop rendering while you're inside, so furniture, windows and clutter stay visible.
Driving
XL and XXL canopies over the road ahead fade with speed-based look-ahead, and trunks stay visible as obstacles.
On foot
Canopies around you thin out as you move, and a facing cone stays active while aiming so zombies aren't lost in foliage.
Infrastructure filtering
On by default. Trees very close to roads and buildings, and 75% of canopy-overlap trees, are downsized to same-species L trees.
Reversible
Turning filtering off restores tagged trees as their squares load. Normal-sized trees are never touched.
Requirements
Project Zomboid Build 42.20+ (tested with 42.20.2). Multiplayer servers must list the mod: the server owns infrastructure changes, and each client owns its own visibility settings. To restore trees before removing it, disable filtering and revisit affected areas first. Fade textures adapted from Jumbo Tree Indoor Fix by movinow, with permission.
