Minimum Java Loader 0.6.10

Performance class overrides for Build 42.21 and 42.20.4, delivered through Faded's Java Loader. Enable it and restart: PZ Optimized installs, verifies and maintains itself every boot.

Self-installing

Copies the performance class overrides into the game folder, checked against the game revision. The game jar is never modified, and a backup comes first if the launcher file changes.

Stock-safe

Unsupported game builds run vanilla with one log line, and enabled=false reproduces stock exactly.

Visible

A main-menu panel reports what ran, what needs attention, and whether a restart is due.

Conflict-aware

A read-only doctor spots legacy manual installs, the superseded Workshop item, stale folders and duplicate jars.

What's new in 0.4.1

  • Build 42.22 (0.4.0, 0.4.1) — performance class overrides for Project Zomboid Build 42.22.
  • Deadflow compatibility — fixes the Deadflow startup refusal introduced by the 0.3.0 namespace migration. Zombie batching, separation, culling and rendering shortcuts stay available, alongside the GPU buffer and texture recycling improvements. Deadflow is unchanged.
  • Safe remove — a visible Safe remove control returns, with confirmation, persistent opt-out, owned-file hash checks, launcher cleanup that preserves the loader and other settings, and clear restart guidance.
  • Menu and status — a persistent PZ Optimized menu button and a compact status popup with readable status sections and scrolling diagnostics.
  • Repairing 0.3.0 — if 0.3.0 already shows the Deadflow refusal, update through the Faded installer, close the game, run PZOptimized/42/Maintenance/PZOptimized-Maintenance.cmd and choose Repair. Restarting alone cannot repair it.
  • From 0.3.0 — VRAM upload assistance, the PZ Optimized namespace, and updates through Faded Local Mod Installer.

Requirements

Project Zomboid Build 42.21. Requires Faded Java Loader 0.5.0+ and FadedJavaLoaderBridge. The Java half stays on the client.
