Faded's Legacy Codex
Don't let a death erase everything you learned. Faded's Legacy Codex binds your skill levels into physical Codexes and Compendiums, so a fresh character or a friend can study them and recover that knowledge.
35 skill Codexes
One for every trainable Build 42.20 perk. Each stores one skill for 5 transcriptions, and studying restores the stored level minus 1.
7 Compendiums
Passive, Agility, Combat, Crafting, Farming, Firearm and Survivalist. Each stores a whole category for 60 study uses.
Master Compendiums
Forged when every skill in a category reaches level 10. They're indestructible and restore levels with no penalty.
Survivor's Legacy Codex
The final book, bound from all 7 Master Compendiums.
Simple right-click flow
Transcribe, Study, Update and Bind. Studying never lowers a skill you already have.
Multiplayer-safe
The client requests and the server validates and applies, all with vanilla book, notebook and slipcase visuals.
Requirements
Project Zomboid Build 42.20+. Safe to add to existing saves and safe to remove (the items simply disappear). Prototype Legacy Codex item IDs were replaced and don't migrate.
