Faded Packet Savior
A lightweight stabilization and diagnostics utility for heavily modded servers. Faded Packet Savior goes after the common mod-side causes of "Malformed packet detected" kicks during join, character load and early sync, before risky packets are sent.
Join grace period
Nonessential mod commands wait until the player is fully initialized.
Payload validation
Server-authoritative command wrappers reject oversized, recursive, unserializable or malformed payloads before sending.
Player diagnostics
Conservative checks of modData, inventory, worn, attached and equipped items, and vehicle references.
Logs, not deletions
Missing or unresolved item scripts are logged rather than silently deleted. Quarantine reports are stored in the mod's own modData namespace.
Admin tools
/fpsavior check, sanitize, aggressive, clearqueue, status and help. Aggressive mode is off by default.
Clear logs
join-trace, sanitizer, command-queue and warnings logs under Zomboid/Logs/FadedPacketSavior/.
Requirements
Project Zomboid Build 42.20.2. Single-player, hosted and dedicated multiplayer. No other Faded mods required; no vanilla file overwrites and no Java patching. Important limit: it cannot bypass the engine's own packet parser or prevent a kick once the vanilla network layer has rejected a packet.
